The Toronto Police Association (“TPA”) has reached a confidential settlement with Crown Attorney Roger Shallow that resolves a lawsuit commenced by Mr. Shallow alleging that he was defamed by statements made by former executive members of the TPA in a News Release and attachments issued by the TPA on January 8, 2009, and in 3 publications that were made to Mr. Shallow’s employer, the Ministry of the Attorney General.

The TPA unreservedly retracts and withdraws any negative inferences about Mr. Shallow contained in these publications. The TPA apologizes to Mr. Shallow for any embarrassment and harm that may have been caused as a result of these publications.
